Cave, was a collaborative installation I did with Casey Watson, David Fradkin, and David Abraham. The installation was created for an event called PULP which showcased work from about 30 different artists all working with 100% recycled and reclaimed materials. Cave, was an interactive installation that was constructed out of recycled paper and found wood palettes that were collected over a long period of time. The wood pallets were cut into different size triangles, and slowly constructed into a cave. After the structure was created, we used paper that was manipulated and cut in different ways to take over the inside of the Cave. Our inspiration was to experiment with materials and texture. Our intention was to create a space that was tactile, and invited the viewer to touch and play with the environment. Cave, won second prize for best installation.
